His real name is Tony Mahotière, aka Tony Mix, and he was born on February 13, 1983, in Port-au-Prince. From a young age, he harbored a passion for music, particularly dancehall and hip-hop. This passion would become the driving force behind his career, eventually making him one of Haiti’s most famous DJs.
Tony Mix officially began his DJ career in 2005. Armed with his determination and talent, he began by organizing parties in Côte-Plage 18, the neighborhood where he grew up. These events allowed him to reveal his mixing genius to the public.
The same year, he joined the Sound Design staff, where he quickly became the main DJ. For nearly three years, he delivered a series of high-quality performances and established himself as a household name on the Haitian scene.
In 2008, Tony Mix decided to leave Sound Design to launch his own project: Tony Mix. This bold decision marked a turning point in his career. From then on, his name was everywhere in Haïti and his reputation continued to grow.
