His real name is Tony Mahotière, aka Tony Mix, and he was born on February 13, 1983, in Port-au-Prince. From a young age, he developed a passion for music, particularly dancehall and hip-hop, which served as a springboard for his future career.
In 2005, Tony Mix officially began his DJ career by organizing parties in Côte-Plage 18, his native neighborhood. He quickly distinguished himself with his exceptional talent for mixing and igniting audiences.
Shortly after his debut, Tony joined the Sound Design staff as the main DJ. For three years, he performed extensively and gained notoriety.
In 2008, he decided to go solo and create Tony Mix, his own group. This decision marked a turning point in his career and allowed him to establish himself as one of Haiti’s top DJs.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, the Karibe Hotel hosted the launch conference of the 4th edition of the national essay contest organized by Centre Muse Haïti. The event was attended by members of the Centre, including Father Gilbert Peltrop, contest coordinator, Mr. Arnold Antonin, special guest of this edition, as well as representatives from institutions such as the Ministry of National Education, represented by Emmanuel Bernard speaking on behalf of Minister Antoine Augustin; the OPC; the State University of Haiti, represented by Rector Dieuseul Prédélus; LONAPÉ, represented by Mr. Hervé Boursiquot; the Ombudsman Me Wilner Morin; and representatives of the UNDP, BINUH, and UNESCO, represented respectively by Mr. Xavier Michon, Armor BouBarkri (on behalf of Ms. Maria Isabel Salvador), and Ms. Erica Francillon Célestin (on behalf of Mr. Éric Voli Bi), partners of Centre Muse in this initiative. Members of the press were also present.
"Ayiti Liv" is an online platform dedicated strictly to promoting Haitian literature. It will be operational starting May 1, 2025, and will feature about 300 major works of Haitian literature, written by over 70 authors. Full public access will be granted for its launch phase. Jean Venel Casseus, one of the platform’s initiators, explains that this initiative was created to fill a significant gap, and this vast project is being carried out by him and a passionate team of Haitian literature lovers.

The publishing house Csimon Publishing, led by Dr. Cherlin Simon, is excited to announce the creation of a subsidiary of Csimon Publishing in Haiti. Indeed, a management team, aimed at strengthening its approach to young Haitian authors, has been set up by the parent company, located in Virginia, United States. The goal of this initiative is to better support its authors, particularly the younger ones, offering them reliable assistance to foster their creativity and help them thrive. The committee is also in place to better coordinate the publishing house’s actions in their favor. This aligns perfectly with Csimon Publishing’s vision to actively contribute to the elevation of Haitian literary culture on a global scale, while highlighting Haitian talents and creating a bridge between Haïti and the rest of the world, which constitutes global culture. It is worth noting that among the more than 150 works already published by Csimon, most are works by Haitian authors living in Haiti.

If the past has been ruled with a selective truth and an effort to showcase the worst and by extension create the worst narrative, now, my fellow Haitian, regardless of where you are on this planet, is the time for us to undertake this mission, to take responsibility and recreate the narrative of our mother land. A narrative based on truth and transparency, a narrative that tells the story of who we are and certainly who we are not, a narrative to invite the world to explore and see for themselves. It is our duty. If not now, when? If not you and I, then, who? Our main mission at Haïti Wonderland is to rewrite the narrative of Haïti on the web. Then use the internet to bring Haïti back to the top of the touristic destination map once again. Those are what motivate us, the oxygen that we breath, they are the reason we wake up in the morning and fight. We didn’t choose this path because we know it will be easy but we choose it because: 1. It is a noble cause 2. It is necessary and 3. It must be done. But must importantly we take this path because we know you and every Haitian in this world, who knows the truth about Haïti are tired with what you see when typing Haïti on the web, and at the same time understand that something must change, and it must be done as soon as possible. We know you are ready for this, and together we will change the narrative of Haïti on the web and we will bring Haïti back to the top of the touristic destination map.
