His real name is Tony Mahotière, aka Tony Mix, and he was born on February 13, 1983, in Port-au-Prince. From a young age, he harbored a passion for music, particularly dancehall and hip-hop. This passion would become the driving force behind his career, eventually making him one of Haiti’s most famous DJs.
Tony Mix officially began his DJ career in 2005. Armed with his determination and talent, he began by organizing parties in Côte-Plage 18, the neighborhood where he grew up. These events allowed him to reveal his mixing genius to the public.
The same year, he joined the Sound Design staff, where he quickly became the main DJ. For nearly three years, he delivered a series of high-quality performances and established himself as a household name on the Haitian scene.
In 2008, Tony Mix decided to leave Sound Design to launch his own project: Tony Mix. This bold decision marked a turning point in his career. From then on, his name was everywhere in Haïti and his reputation continued to grow.

Dans le cadre du programme de promotion des droits et de l’épanouissement de l’enfant "Timoun se moun" piloté par l’organisation Action Communautaire de Transformation et d’Intégration Formelle (ACTIF), Kay Jèn Yo organise, du 18 au 24 août 2025 (9h am - 1h pm), "Espas Lajwa", un camp d’été qui cible trente (30) enfants de 7 à 15 ans. Une grande panoplie d’activités éducatives, créatives et ludiques sont programmées pour le plus grand bien des enfants. Ils auront droit à des ateliers de : peinture, crochet, macramé, langue des signes, théãtre, lecture, échec, etc. Dans un contexte aussi traumatogène où la violence est monnaie courante, de telles initiaves sont d’une importance capitale. " Les enfants ne sont pas imperméables au stress et autres pathologies que peut provoquer la situation morbide qui sévit dans le pays actuellement", souligne Blondy Wolf Leblanc (Gabynho) DG a.i de ACTIF. "Espace Lajwa se veut donc, un refuge, un lieu où les enfants peuvent s’exprimer en toute sécurité, un espace sécurisant où ils peuvent exprimer leurs émotions à travers plusieurs médiums", précise-t-il. Plus loin, l’animateur socioculturel encourage d’autres structures à travers le pays à prendre des initiatives de ce genre au bénéfice de la santé mentale des enfants. Espas Lajwa est quasiment gratuit. Un frais de participation de 150 gourdes est requis pour la semaine. Quid Kay Jèn Yo Issu du projet "Pran Swen Tèt ou", Kay Jèn Yo est un projet de l’organisation ACTIF supporté par La Perfection École de Haute Couture visant à combattre la violence par l’engagement communautaire à travers des programmes de formation professionnelle et artistique. They shatter the silence, depicting the macabre reality of everyday life in a thousand shards, thus defying evil to give meaning to life and make each day a place where hope flows like a stream of honey. Edison Juste’s voice is one of them: it sings of hope, of love, while praising God. It was in Carrefour, 27 years ago, that the young singer’s sun rose within a family of four children. Edison Juste is the youngest. Between the diplomat, the lawyer, and the entrepreneur that he is, singing remains his greatest passion for this young married man. Like many Haitian singers, Edison Juste took his first steps at a very early age in a choir—Yahvé Shama—alongside children his own age. He would later become the lead singer. This was in 2010. Asked about his first real encounter with music, he replied: q~It was in 2013 that I really started singing. It was during a competition organized by Styl Doz at the Évangélique de la Grâce church,~q, says the active member of the group YES (Yon Enstriman Sen), who also expresses his gratitude to singer Joseph Rhousteau, who inspired and coached him for several years. Edison Juste stands out not only for his style, but also for his versatility. His ability to make the notes vibrate with a moving candor seems limitless. Yet, he has his preferences: q~There isn’t a single style that characterizes me. I see myself as a liquid: I take the shape of the container. Even if I remain haunted by Worship, Compass, and Jazz, he confides. Today, the Carrefour native boasts a rich and varied musical repertoire. From 2010 to 2025, he has grown both in maturity and in renown: five competition wins, his first song recorded in 2018, joining the band YES, his participation in the second album, Se pou m beni, a collaboration with Amos César in a musical, and his contribution to the album Anprent by maestro Berwin Sydney. For him, this journey is already a great source of inspiration. Edison Juste never does without the presence of God, whether in the creative process or during his stage performances: "What influences and motivates me the most is always the presence of Elohim, and the audience’s desire to savor and appreciate my work," he says.
